Join TrailMates for an unforgettable day exploring the Winner Creek Trail in beautiful Girdwood! This local favorite is known for its lush forest paths, rushing creeks, and stunning views of the surrounding Chugach Mountains. We’ll be hiking 4.2 miles round trip with about 767 ft of elevation gain—a steady, moderate climb that rewards you with serene forest vibes and glimpses of alpine beauty.

Whether you’re looking to stretch your legs, meet new hiking friends, or just breathe in some crisp mountain air, this hike is for you. The trail is well-maintained and perfect for both newer hikers ready for a challenge and experienced adventurers looking for a social, scenic trek.

👣 Trail Details:

  • Distance: 4.2

  • Elevation Gain: 767 ft

  • Difficulty: Easy/Moderate

  • Estimated Time: ~2.5 hours

  • Trail Type: Out and back

🌿 What to Bring: Layered clothing, water, snacks, trekking poles (optional), and sturdy hiking shoes or boots. Depending on conditions, microspikes for snow or ice on shaded sections.

📍 Meeting Point: We’ll meet at the Alyeska Resort Lobby. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can start together at 12:00 PM.
