🏞 About This Hike

Join TrailMates for a climb with serious payoff! The Twin Peaks Trail winds steadily upward from Eklutna Lake through lush forest and opens to sweeping views of the valley below. We’ll pass the first and second benches before continuing to the overlook — where stunning vistas of Eklutna Lake and the surrounding peaks make the climb worth every step.

This is a challenging hike with a sustained climb, especially past the second bench, but it’s a fantastic way to push yourself and soak in the alpine beauty.

🎒 What to Bring

  • Sturdy hiking boots with good grip

  • Trekking poles (highly recommended for the steeper sections)

  • 2–3 liters of water

  • Snacks or a packed lunch

  • Wind/rain layers — the overlook can be exposed and chilly

  • Hat, gloves, and sunscreen
