South Fork Eagle River Trail to the Bridge 🌲

Join TrailMates for a relaxed day on the beautiful South Fork Eagle River Trail. This easygoing hike follows the scenic river corridor through the forest, offering mountain views, fresh air, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors at a comfortable pace.

Our destination will be the bridge along the trail, approximately 4.2 miles round trip with gentle elevation gain. Depending on the group's interest and energy levels, there may be an option to continue another half mile beyond the bridge before turning around.

This hike is perfect for beginners, families, anyone looking for a more leisurely pace, and four-legged trail companions. Pets are welcome, provided they are well-behaved and under control throughout the hike.

  • Elevation Gain: Approximately 650 ft

  • Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Meet-Up Location:We will meet at the South Fork Eagle River Trailhead parking area. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can gather the group and begin on time.

  • This is intended to be a leisurely, community-paced hike.

  • Pets are welcome.

  • We plan to hike to the bridge, with the option to continue a little farther if the group is interested.

  • Water

  • Layers for changing weather

  • Rain jacket

  • Bug spray

  • Sunscreen

  • Dog supplies if bringing a pet (water, leash, waste bags, etc.)

The South Fork Eagle River area is known for its beautiful river views, surrounding mountains, and peaceful forest setting, making it a great trail for both new and experienced hikers looking for a relaxed day outdoors.
