Looking for a low-pressure, beautiful midweek hike? This one’s for you. Join us for a relaxed evening on the South Fork Valley Trail—a favorite among locals for its wide paths, sweeping valley views, and peaceful river crossings. We’ll head out about 2.2 miles to the bridge, cross the river, and then head back. Some folks may choose to go a bit farther—toward Symphony or Eagle Lake—but there’s zero pressure. All paces are welcome.
This hike is especially great for beginners, newcomers, or anyone wanting to shake off the day with fresh air and good company. Wildlife sightings (like moose!) aren’t uncommon, but bear encounters are rare on this trail.
🧭 What to Bring: Water, layers, snacks, and comfortable hiking shoes. Trekking poles are optional but can be helpful for river crossings or uneven terrain.
🅿️ Parking Info: South Fork Eagle River Trailhead parking area (State Parks pass required or pay at the lot).
👋 Come meet new people, soak in the beauty of Eagle River Valley, and enjoy a refreshing evening outside. Meet your TrailMates leader: Kevin
