2nd Annual TrailMates Adventure

Join TrailMates for our 2nd Annual Snowbird Mine and Glacier Pass Trail hike . This is a beautiful alpine adventure through the heart of Hatcher Pass featuring mountain views, historic mining remnants, and a fun challenge along the way.

This 4.8-mile hike packs in plenty of adventure with approximately 1,700 feet of elevation gain. We'll make our way through classic Hatcher Pass terrain with rocky sections, alpine scenery, and the opportunity to explore the historic Snowbird Mine area.

This trail has a little bit of everything, beautiful views, a solid climb, and one memorable section where hikers can choose to use old cables to help navigate a steeper section. Gloves are recommended if you'd like to use the cables! Come ready for a fun day on the mountain with the TrailMates community.

Meet-Up Location: We'll meet at the end of Archangel Road near Hatcher Pass.

Parking Notes:

• Please park before the bridge

• There is a restroom available nearby

• Parking passes can be purchased at this location

• This is the same trailhead area used for Reed Lakes

Trail Notes

This hike includes a challenging elevation section where hikers have the option to use old cables for assistance. If you'd like to use the cables, bring gloves for better grip and comfort.

Trail conditions can vary, so come prepared for rocky and uneven terrain.
