Join TrailMates for a rewarding climb up Slaughter Ridge, a local favorite known for its steep ascent and incredible ridgeline views. This hike is a true leg-burner with plenty of elevation gain packed into a shorter distance—but the payoff is spectacular panoramic views that make every step worth it.
This hike is best suited for those comfortable with steep climbs and uneven terrain. Expect a steady push uphill and come ready for a good challenge. Parking Info: The trailhead lot is quite small, so carpooling is highly encouraged!
🎒 What to Bring:
Sturdy hiking boots with good grip (trail gets rocky!)
Trekking poles (helpful on the descent)
2–3 liters of water
Snacks or a packed lunch
Wind/rain layers — the summit can be exposed and chilly
Hat, sunscreen, and optional gloves for scrambling
