Resurrection Pass Backpacking Adventure | Hope to Cooper Landing (MM 53)
Join us for an unforgettable 3-day backpacking adventure on the iconic Resurrection Pass Trail starting in Hope and ending at Cooper Landing (Mile Marker 53). This challenging point-to-point trek takes us through some of Alaska’s most beautiful backcountry terrain winding through alpine meadows, dense forest, river crossings, mountain views, and remote wilderness landscapes that make every mile worth it.
This is a community-paced backpacking trip designed for hikers who are comfortable with long-distance hiking, carrying overnight gear, and spending multiple days on trail. Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, meet like-minded outdoor people, or experience one of Alaska’s classic backpacking routes, we’d love to have you with us.

Parking & Carpool Info
We will begin at the Hope Trailhead at 9:00 AM. Vehicle logistics and pickup coordination for Mile Marker 53 near Cooper Landing will be discussed prior to the hike. The pickup location is the Hope trailhead parking lot near Cooper Landing at Mile Marker 53.
What to Bring:
Please come prepared for a multi-day backpacking trip in variable Alaska conditions. Suggested gear (but not limited to) includes:

Backpacking pack
Tent or shelter
Sleeping bag & sleeping pad
Backpacking stove & food
Water bottles/reservoir + water filter
Hiking boots or trail shoes
Trekking poles
Rain gear
Warm layers
Extra socks & clothing layers
Headlamp
Bear spray
Bug spray
First aid kit
Sunscreen & sunglasses
Personal medications
Camp shoes (optional)
Portable charger/battery pack (optional)
*A mandatory pre-trip meeting will be scheduled prior to the event to go over logistics, gear, pacing, safety, transportation, and expectations for the weekend.
This trip is best suited for hikers with backpacking experience and a solid fitness base. Weather, trail conditions, and group pace can all impact the experience, so please come prepared and ready for an adventure.
