Rabbit Lake Trail 🏔️✨

Anchorage | Four Peaks in 4 Weeks Challenge Hike

Ready for a classic Chugach adventure? Join TrailMates for a day on the Rabbit Lake Trail. A beautiful and rewarding hike that takes us through lush forest, alpine terrain, and into one of the most scenic lake destinations near Anchorage.

This 8.8-mile out-and-back hike offers a solid challenge with approximately 1,555 feet of elevation gain. We’ll steadily climb through the Chugach Mountains, taking in incredible views along the way before reaching Rabbit Lake, a peaceful alpine destination surrounded by mountain scenery.

For those participating in the Four Peaks in 4 Weeks challenge, this is one of the featured hikes! It’s a great opportunity to check another adventure off your list while exploring Alaska’s backyard with the TrailMates community. 🥾

This is a longer hike, so come prepared for a full day on the trail, good conversation, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the views.
