Join TrailMates as we explore the Muktuk Marston Memorial Trail in the beautiful Arctic Valley. This scenic 8-mile adventure winds through alpine terrain with sweeping mountain vistas, wildflowers (season permitting), and plenty of opportunities to take in the beauty of the Chugach Mountains.
With over 1,500 feet of elevation gain, this trail offers a rewarding workout without feeling rushed. We'll hike at a community pace, taking breaks along the way to enjoy the scenery and connect with fellow hikers.
Expect a mix of trail conditions, including loose gravel, rocky sections, and the potential for muddy areas depending on recent weather.

Elevation Gain: Approximately 1,564 ft
Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging

Meet-Up Location: We'll meet outside the front doors of the Arctic Valley Ski Lodge. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can gather the group and hit the trail on time.

Trail Notes:This trail includes sustained climbing, loose gravel, rocky sections, and the possibility of muddy conditions. Trekking poles are highly recommended to help with both the ascent and descent.
