Ready to take on one of the most epic ridge traverses in the Chugach? Join TrailMates for a full-day adventure across the Mount Baldy to Mile High Traverse—a point-to-point trail covering 14.5 miles with nearly 6,000 feet of elevation gain.

This route is rated hard for its distance, elevation, and extended time on trail—perfect for experienced hikers ready to commit to a bold, beautiful day in the mountains. Expect alpine ridgelines, steep climbs, sweeping views, and that empowering feeling of covering serious ground with a strong, supportive crew.

👟 Trail Highlights:

  • Jaw-dropping panoramic views the entire way

  • Long stretches of alpine ridge travel

  • A challenging, rewarding route with big mountain energy

🎒 What to Bring:

  • Trail runners or hiking boots with solid grip

  • 3+ liters of water

🚗 Logistics: Meet at Mile High trailhead at 9:00 AM. We'll leave some vehicles there and carpool to Baldy, where the hike begins. This is a point-to-point route, so please arrive on time for the car shuttle setup.
