About the Hike

We're chasing another Alaska sunset! 🌅 This time, we're adding a full Hunter's Moon to the adventure.

Join Ron for an evening hike up Mt. Baldy as we make our way to the summit in the fading daylight. We'll take a few minutes at the top to enjoy the views and catch the sunset at 6:16 PM before heading back down the way we came, with the moon lighting up the evening sky.

And for those who are up for it, glissading down some sections may be an option! 👀

What to Bring

• Headlamp and/or flashlight: Essential for the descent

• Microspikes or traction devices: Snow is present on Baldy, and traction can be very helpful

• Warm layers for time at the summit

• Water and a snack

• A warm drink to enjoy at the top
  

We'll be hiking in low-light conditions and returning after dark, so come prepared for wintery trail conditions and changing temperatures.
