Meet at the Gold Mint Trailhead

Led by Sara Burda

Join us for a peaceful, family-friendly hike along the stunning Gold Mint Trail in beautiful Hatcher Pass. This out-and-back hike is perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy open air, mountain views, and time on trail without a huge climb. We'll cover 4–6 miles roundtrip with a gentle 780 feet of elevation gain, making this a great option for newer hikers, families with kids, or anyone looking for a slower-paced adventure.

The trail follows a scenic river corridor surrounded by mountains—plenty of spots to stop for photos, snacks, and connection with others in the group. Sara will lead at a steady, inclusive pace with space for all.

👟 What to Bring:

  • Comfortable hiking shoes or trail runners

  • Water & light snacks

  • Layers for changing mountain weather

  • Sunscreen, bug spray, and a hat

  • Optional: child carrier, poles, or trail games for kids

📣 If you’re bringing children, please include the total number of people in your RSVP so we can plan ahead.

🕒 Estimated time on trail: 3 hours

This is a great hike to bring a friend, meet new TrailMates, or simply enjoy mindful movement in a beautiful place. Everyone is welcome here. Look for your hike leader: Sara Burda
