Grab your costume, your favorite hiking buddies, and your Halloween spirit! We’re heading out for a fun and fairly easy stroll along the lakeside to Yuditna Cabin and back!

This is a relaxed hike with minimal elevation gain, making it a great option for anyone who wants to get outside, enjoy the fall scenery, and spend Halloween with the TrailMates crew.

But the fun doesn't end when we get back! 🎃

After the hike, we’ll have a campfire + social at Rainbow Trout Cabin, which is just a short walk from the main parking lot. Bring a camp chair, hang out by the fire, and stay for some post-hike Halloween fun.

👻 Halloween Social Costumes are encouraged! Shareable snacks are also encouraged if you'd like to bring something to contribute.

🥾 What to Know

This is Alaska in late October, so come prepared for chilly conditions and possible snow. Dress appropriately for the weather and trail conditions, and bring everything you need to stay warm and comfortable.

Bring:

  • Warm layers

  • Weather-appropriate footwear

  • Water + snacks

  • A camp chair for the post-hike social

  • A costume if you're feeling festive 🎃

  • A shareable snack if you'd like

  • Come for the hike. Stay for the fire. 👻🔥

Let’s make Halloween a TrailMates adventure!
