About the event

Eagle River Greenbelt to South Fork (Barbara) Falls

Join TrailMates for a beautiful spring hike through the scenic Eagle River Greenbelt Trail as we make our way to Barbara Falls on the South Fork Confluence Trail. This longer route offers a peaceful and enjoyable trail experience with gradual elevation gain, wooded paths, river views, and a rewarding waterfall destination perfect for lunch and photos.

Although this hike is approximately 6.5 miles round trip, the elevation gain is steady and manageable rather than steep, making it a great option for hikers looking to spend a relaxed day on the trail while still getting in some mileage.

We’ll follow the Eagle River Greenbelt Access Trail before turning right near the end to continue another mile toward the falls via the South Fork Confluence Trail. Once we arrive at Barbara Falls, we’ll take a break for lunch, photos, and enjoying the scenery before returning the same way.
