Join us Saturday, May 24th at 12PM for a thrilling adventure through one of Girdwood’s best-kept secrets—Chutes and Ladders! This hidden gem is a short but technical 2-mile out-and-back trail that climbs ~ 400 feet and features five rope ladders, one wooden ladder, and plenty of slippery terrain.

This hidden gem is a short but technical 2-mile out-and-back trail that climbs about 400 feet and features five rope ladders, one wooden ladder, and plenty of slippery terrain. Bring your courage (and grippy shoes)!
Starting at the Winter Creek Trailhead on the Crow Creek side, this route winds through lush forest and steep sections where you'll need to use ladders and ropes to navigate the terrain. It’s challenging, fun, and a local favorite for good reason.

Good hiking shoes or boots with traction (expect mud!)
Gloves (optional, but helpful for rope sections)
