Kick off the new year with a refreshing, community-centered TrailMates hike to the beautiful Bird Creek Falls. This trail is perfect for easing into the year. Welcoming, mellow, and full of quiet winter beauty. All paces and experience levels are welcome. 🌲❄️

Trail Details:

  • Distance: 4.24 miles

  • Elevation Gain: 312 ft

  • Estimated Time: ~3 hours

  • Trail Type: Out & back

  • Difficulty: Easy

This route winds through peaceful forest and leads to the picturesque winter cascade at Bird Creek Falls—a rewarding stop for photos, snacks, and soaking in the view before retracing your steps.

What to Bring: Layers to stay warm, poles if you prefer added stability, and ice spikes (recommended for traction in icy or packed-snow conditions). Please also bring water and anything else you need for comfort and safety.

Meeting & Parking Info: We’ll meet at the Bird Creek Falls Trailhead Parking Lot off Konikson Road.The road is not regularly maintained in winter. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended, and carpooling is encouraged. The road is still driveable, but please plan ahead and allow extra time.
