A big Chugach day for experienced hikers. NOT A BEGINNER HIKE!!
If you're looking for a hike that will challenge your legs and reward you with some seriously beautiful Alaska scenery, O'Malley Peak is a good one.
Join TrailMates for a 9.3-mile adventure with approximately 3,336 feet of elevation gain through the Chugach Mountains. This is a long, strenuous day with significant elevation gain, so come ready to put in some work. The views along the way make the effort worth it.
This is not a beginner hike. Participants should be comfortable hiking for 4+ hours and prepared for sustained climbing, uneven terrain, and changing mountain weather.

Meet-Up Location
We'll meet at the Glen Alps Trailhead – Lower Lot. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can get organized and hit the trail together.

Trekking poles (recommended)
Layers for changing mountain weather
Rain/wind jacket
Sunscreen + sunglasses
